What BEHALD Is Not
Four important distinctions
Not fortune-telling
BEHALD does not predict the future, tell you what will happen, or reveal hidden outcomes. The cards open questions; they do not provide predictions.
Not a personality test
BEHALD does not classify you, assign you a personality type, diagnose you, or claim to explain who you are.
Not an authority
The cards do not tell you what you should do, how you should live, or which decision you must make. They have no authority over the person using them.
Not a substitute for expertise
Reflection can help you recognise what you are dealing with and formulate better questions. It cannot replace medical, legal, financial, psychological or other professional advice when that knowledge is required.
The cards do not know
A card cannot establish the facts of a dispute, diagnose an illness, determine whether a relationship is safe, or assess the consequences of a decision.
The person using BEHALD brings their own knowledge, experience, judgement, beliefs and values to the process. A card may introduce a perspective or reveal a tension worth examining, but it does not determine what that perspective means.
The same applies to questions about identity, meaning, purpose, belief or how to live. BEHALD can help you examine such questions; it does not provide an answer that you are expected to accept.
You do not have to agree
You can question a card, reject an interpretation, change your working question or leave the Field without an answer.
There is no requirement to find meaning in every card or reach a conclusion in every experience. Sometimes the most useful result is a clearer question. Sometimes uncertainty remains.
The responsibility for deciding what matters, what is true, and what to do next remains with you.
